December 6, New Moon Energy

.

The energy is strong to bring us into a new level of communication. How we talk to ourselves and how we share with others are going to be big themes this month. Not just surface level communication, but being able to notice what you are or someone else is really expressing, on a deeper level. If you get frustrated, or if someone around you gets frustrated, it’s important to take a step back and see it from a wider perspective. It might seem like the issue is what’s at hand, but when you take a closer look, is it linked at all to your past?

.

Can you use this opportunity of awareness to shed more light onto your reactive patterns and start to release the old ways you were taught or learned to feel and recognize how things are different now - you are different now.

.

This is a part of our healing, our deep Spiritual work. To begin to witness how we react to anything life throws at us, instead of allowing the reaction to take us out of our present experience. We have enough of that, with our cellphones, TV, and fast-pace lifestyle in this culture—we take ourselves out of our experience so often, and this new moon insists that we demand Presence the respect it deserves. That we show up for our lives, in any experience, instead of disassociate, get overly emotional, become numb, and/or turn to something distracting.

.

As Mary Oliver said so poignantly, “what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?” This new moon is asking us, daily, to reflect on that question. To go deeper into our own experience and to turn more inwards as the season changes and the cold weather and shorter days set in.

.

Look at everything in your current experience as a teacher, and from that place you can begin to shed any doubts you have around what you’re doing or who you’re in relationship with, because you’ll learn from everything you do. And once you embrace the lesson fully, you’ll either understand that you’re in the right place or understand that yes, something does need to shift. But you won’t be as attached nor afraid, and you’ll stop taking yourself out of your body and begin to listen to the signs of what you really need. “Does it feel good? Does it feel safe? How can I communicate my needs? How can I make this a better experience for me, and therefore also for others? Am I doing my best?”

.

We can’t let others define us, and this month will be challenging around that aspect. We will feel pulled and we will feel conflicted by who we want to be/what we want to do and who we believe we should be/what we think others want from us.

.

Stay true to your needs, and as always, reach out to your sisters for support. We’re all going through it in our own ways. The more you practice sharing honestly, the more it creates space for others to do the same; and you’ll probably find that no matter what you’re going through, someone around you can relate. Allow yourself to feel NOT alone during this time. Especially since this holiday season can bring up so much for people around family, money, travel, worth. Give yourself some extra support and stay with whatever you’re feeling, but don’t indulge in it. Use your feelings as a roadmap to your truth, and always look for the deeper meaning.

.

Send us an email if you need a little extra support!
